People are getting bigger, of that, there is no doubt. Old churches were not built to take taller people. Often we have to do the Max Wall shuffle, just to get the coffin through the door. If there are flowers on top of coffin, we might as well go in on our knees. Thankfully, the majority of Funeral Directors are seeing sense and allowing the coffin to be wheeled. My colleague who is over 6 foot, would have had great problems , trying to get through this door!!!
